Description

Tjanting in Siara takes its name from the copper tool used in batik tulis, where wax is traced in deliberate, flowing lines. The design follows the same discipline: florals are drawn with variable line widths, gentle feathering, and balanced spacing that recalls the order of an herbarium sheet.

In the central field, upright lilies, irises, ranunculus, snowdrops, and sweet pea clusters stand as single specimens. Each is given breathing space so the scarf folds neatly without crowding. Borders are resolved with a scalloped band and repeating garlands, anchored more densely at the corners to lock the frame.

The Siara palette is grounded in a tawny parchment base with florals in rust orange, lilac, ivory, and olive greens. A teal tracer in the border cools the warmth, while a deep brown outer ground gives the piece its frame-like presence.

On chiffon, the print reads crisp and exact; on modal, edges soften into a matte bloom. Siara is the earthbound twin of the series—structured, archival, and atmospheric.
